I and another of Tânia’s friends went to see her tonight. We talked on the phone so we could take turns and I met another wonderful person that cherishes Tânia in a very special corner of her heart. Thanks for coming,A.

When I got there, Tânia was asleep. The nurse (they are all so thoughtful)came to tell me the latest news. It seems she’s more awake now and responds better to all sorts of contact. I stayed there a long time just holding her hand and she was sleeping so peacefully. Then, I noticed her hands were cold, I told the nurse and we tucked her hands under the sheet. Tânia frowned and put the hand back outside. Her mother had already told me that she wants to feel our hand in hers and she reaches for it. It’s agood sign.

Her friend went in after me. We talked a little outside and I told her to talk to Tânia. Doctors and nurses noticed she’s responding very well to sounds. One hour later, she left the room very touched. We know Tânia is as good as she can be right now and is getting better, but its too hard to see her so helpless. All we can do is be there.

I was so happy because Tânia responded so well to her visit. She recognised her when she talked, turned her face to her, tried to talk, held her hand and squeezed it while she was talking and didn’t want her friend to let go. When it was time to go home, Tânia waved good-bye with the other hand. Outside, silly us, we were so touched and thrilled because she was able to make such a simple gesture, but it really is a huge step for her.

Kisses for Tânia. We keep praying.
Thank you, A., for being wonderful

  1. Great, great, great! :o)

I know Tânia is still in an extremely serious condition, but it is so heart-lifting to read your words. To hear that she is slowly responding. It must be so comforting for Tânia to be aware of loved ones by her side. And her reactions means she is definitely aware. That is so good.
Our candles continue to be lit and our prayers for her continue.
Give her a big kiss from my mother & I.

Thank you Loca for informing us all.
Boa noite & bjs for you too my friend!
